Amongst all the doom and gloom surrounding the world right now some good news stories just get missed, yes, there are still a few out there, here’s one.

New figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) have shown that the value of first home buyer lending reached its highest level in 10 years in March. The new numbers represent a 40% increase on the previous comparative period. The figures represent the highest value of first home buyer loans written in a month since October 2009.

Property investors leaving the property market, combined with generous government incentives, the cheapest interest rates in history and family guarantee lending products amongst other things means now has never been a better time for first home owners to start looking.
